Research

This is a process where we interview the facilities and is done behind the scenes and seamless to you as the client.  We first look up facilities in your area of choice to see if there are facilities we have already visited and know whom have the certain qualifications to fit your needs.  We have also pre-screened any facility we visit to make sure they are not on probation with the State of California and we also verify they have not been issued too many violations and what those violations are.  If the violations are not resolved then the facility is exempt from ever being referred for our potential resident. We have strict guidelines and requirements that we are looking for in a facility.

Some of the defining characteristics of a given facility might include such things as:

• Activities 

• Cleanliness

• Visiting hours - are there limited or restricted visiting hours.

• Meal choices

• Food restriction diet with customized meal prep

• Staffing hours - 24 hour live in, night wake staff, shift hours, Do they get breaks?

• Staffing load - How many patients per staff member?

• Staffing longevity - How long have they worked at the facility?

• Staff compassion - Do they seem to care for the residents?

• Outings

• Other residents disposition - What is the culture in the home? Are they all bedridden? Are they alert? Personalities?

• What is the first language of the caregivers? Do they speak fluid English?

• How long has the facility been in service?

• Does the facility have an Administrator? How many facilities does the administrator manage? How often is the administrator at the facility? How long have they been administrator at the facility?

• Who are the owners of the facility/Licensee or just the building owner? Do they live there? Are they the administrators? 

• Is the facility employee owned and if so, what is the name of that organization? Does it match the facility name?
